Headaches and Migraines

Neck related headaches and migraines (Cervogenic) can be caused by a misalignment of one or more of the vertebras in the cervical spine. These misalignments can be lying dormant for many years and be triggered by an uncomfortable night’s sleep, a jarring motion such as whiplash or a build up of stress and tension.

Muscular tension around the neck reduces the blood flow to the head which causes the scalp to tighten and is another cause of headaches.

Osteopaths can quickly establish whether a change in the alignment of the spine or increased muscular tension is the specific cause of your headache and migraine.
