Testimonials

Due to the confidential nature of counselling and psychotherapy, we have not included clients’ names after their testimonial.

I was struck by the calm sanctuary of our sessions, away from the manic hustle/bustle of everyday life.
They were a chance to reflect on issues bothering me, explore them, vent anger about them and learn ways in which to deal with them.
For me, the biggest benefit of working with you was the chance to vocalise and unearth hidden feelings, emotions and anger without judgement or value. The feeling of weight being lifted through this expression is immeasurable. It was only through our time together that I realised this.
Having thought that therapy was mainly for couples or marital guidance, my perception couldn't have been further from the truth.
I would urge anyone experiencing problems at work, low self esteem or confidence to consider some time with you. I would have no hesitation to come back as I believe the benefits have helped me enormously in everyday life.

I came to Natasha having worked for a few months previously with a woman at my university therapy centre whom I found to be somewhat unforgiving. Whilst I’m sure a certain amount of tough love is a good thing, I have always felt that Natasha is fully sympathetic to my situation and feelings and that she is gentle when suggesting things or encouraging a new approach. This means that I have come to regard my sessions with her as a safe and comforting place which I look forward to returning to. In the past 2 years I believe that I have learnt more about myself than in my total 21 years, and this in turn has helped me to interact better with the people in my life. I feel more confident in who I am, I have learned to recognise and maintain boundaries and I continue to unearth and address new issues that I simply wasn’t aware of.
No matter what my future brings, I feel confident knowing that should I have trouble, I can return to Natasha and work through my problems in a positive and productive way.

Natasha is very serious, concentrated and alert. She has a calming effect on anyone who has experienced a panic attack. Natasha is an empathetic and encouraging listener and very open and sympathetic to client’s thoughts. I ended my sessions feeling normal again and very calmed and cheered (I am a woman in my 80’s).

I have been seeing Natasha Curnock for approximately nine months. I have found her to be easy to talk to, intelligent, gentle but not without humour. She is able to give enough structure to our conversations to turn them into useful discussions without making our meetings too formal. Over these months, she has seen how I function and has been able to make invaluable suggestions which have helped me to “cope” better. I would have no hesitation in recommending Natasha.

I felt very positive when I got home this evening. Personally, I am finding the time with you very helpful. I am able to focus my thoughts and feelings which is helping me much more than I ever thought it would. So a big thank you.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for our work and time together. I got an awful lot from it and I always found you most approachable and human.

I found my counselling with Natasha to be incredibly beneficial, after a few months I found that my confidence had improved, I was able to communicate better with my close friends and family, especially my partner which has eased my relationships no end.  I feel happier, more content and more balanced as a result of the therapy.  The experience was an incredibly positive journey for me and I feel that I gained a better understanding of myself and now have the tools to continue my life in a more positive and content way. I loved it, possibly one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life.
