Overview

If you are reading this it’s most likely that you are experiencing some level of muscular pain, discomfort or that pesky ‘niggle’ won’t go away. You may be asking why you have pain and why it won’t go away or why it keeps coming back. Most people collect and store tension throughout their lives from a compromised posture, injuries, and most recently perhaps the sedentary office set up of working from home or simply being glued to the PC or mobile device for hours, days, weeks, subconscious imitating postures from parents or people you admire as odd as that sounds, I’ve seen it. These repetitive gestures form patterns and they become so ingrained in your movement. You may be wondering why the exercise classes you attend or ‘pulling your shoulders back’ several times a day isn’t changing the chronic stress and tension you experience.

You can gain so much insight from one session alone and if you feel like taking yourself and your body on an integrated bodywork journey of discovery, I offer a package of 6 sessions at a reduced rate.

DEEP TISSUE //

Deep Tissue Sports Massage

Sue Glasgow graduated from the London School of Massage with a distinction in Remedial Massage in 2006. She has been practicing for more over 15 years, having started her business in 2007 at The Siobhan Davies Dance Studio in Central London then Sheen Physiotherapy & Sports Injuries Clinic (2008-18).

Working with Zubin and the team at Sheen Therapy Centre gave Sue a fantastic opportunity to expand her clinical knowledge, teaching and movement practice. Working with a vast range of clients of all abilities from teenagers to octogenarians, presenting many different issues, her practice is continually developing and her priority has always been to deliver the most up-to-date, effective and efficient bodywork treatments to give clients better freedom of movement and freedom from pain.

Sue has an integrated approach to her practice. What this means is she hones all her bodywork skills in deep tissue, sports massage, BodyReading and movement practice to give each and every client a unique experience.

Sue continues to evolve her practice and over the past 2yrs has completed several courses both online and in person with Thomas Myers Anatomy Trains and the Art of Motion Slings Myofascial Training team where the focus is on our myofascial tracks, the connective tissue that holds us together and keeps us upright. Developing her skills in BodyReading, Sue is able to assess your posture and gait which often holds the key to mapping the patterns informing us why you have pain or restricted mobility. Then we can literally shape the change with hands-on treatment and movement strategies.

Clients can book in for a single session to target a specific issue which is absolutely welcome but quite often will realise that the pain is not necessarily the source of the issue. This is why I offer a reduced price 6 session package to be used over a limited period. During this time we work together to map the patterns, discover compensatory patterns and embark on a bodywork journey to create space in your body, ease in your movement and to becoming pain free.
